The Den is starting as a family-run studio.

We’ve put our sincere love into its creation and operation.

We are so happy to welcome you!

Claire de Poray

Our Ballet Instructor.

Claire is our incredible Instructor for the BALLET FOR YOUNG DANCERS classes, and she’s one of Sarah’s beloved daughters. Claire has been passionate and dedicated to her dance training and practice since she was 4 years old! She has trained in Ballet, Tap, Acro, and Character in Southern Ontario before moving to the NWT. She intends to pursue a double degree in Primary Education and Dance Education following her graduation from high school in 3 years. When she’s not teaching ballet at The Den, she’s contributing to her school community, providing her babysitting and tutuoring services, and spending time with her family and friends.

Gord Rothnie

Our Studio Support.

Gord is the heavy lifter that gets things done at The Den, and he is Sarah’s adored man. Gord is one of the owners of NSIXTY and a well-respected member of the Fort Smith community. Gord championed our vision of The Den and is a central reason for its beautiful fruition. Not only will he be seen keeping The Den in good shape, but he’ll also be working on his own movement and wellness right alongside you in studio.
