Reconnect with Yourself

Our busy lives can have us feeling more disconnected from ourself than we realize. Take a few moments at any time of your day to reconnect with yourself with this simple practice. Perhaps have a notebook handy to write down your reflections.

Settle into a comfortable seated position. Your eyes can be open or closed. Your hands can be anywhere in your lap or on your body that’s comfortable. Take a few breaths and simply begin to observe your breathing. With each breath, presence yourself more and more in your body and in this moment.

Ask yourself the following questions:

  • What am I feeling right now?

  • What feels heavy? What feels supportive?

  • When did I most feel like myself today?

  • What matters most to me right now?

  • What would “coming back to myself” look like today?

  • What is one thing I can do for myself right now?

Perhaps close your eyes or soften your gaze. Simply take a few breaths and allow your answers to just be. When you’re ready, take some time to write down your reflections in your notebook.
